Becca White, Solar Community Organizer
Solar Community Organizers are the folks who are out and about educating and assisting, one town at a time.
Rebecca is a seventh generation Vermonter who grew up in the village of Wilder in Hartford. She pursued a B.A. in History and Speech from the University of Vermont, and she filled her summers by grassroots organizing with Vermont’s Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG) on Clean Heat, GMO Labeling, and reducing the influence of money in politics. Most recently she worked as a small business organizer on the issues of health care reform and earned sick leave throughout the state. Her passion for solar comes from a family history of renewable energy entrepreneurship and a desire to make Vermont a sustainable place to live for future generations. She is a newly elected Select Board member in her hometown and is an active member in her community. In her spare time she can be found reading in downtown White River Junction and feeding her fish Ruth “Beta” Ginsburg.
